Each year the Fund conducts a regional safety training seminar for Fund members which is held throughout the state. These one-day seminars focus on current safety issues and provide guidance for managing Community Center safety programs. Presenters discuss specific problems being encountered by Fund members and offer practical solutions to help reduce accidents and resulting losses.
The Fund’s safety training seminars are designed for all persons responsible for safety and risk management within their centers. Both new and experienced staff members can benefit from the programs.
Regional seminars are conducted during the spring and summer months at four or five locations around the state. Locations are selected so that in most cases center staff in the area can travel to and from the training site on the same day.
