The Risk Managers Advisory Committee will be presenting a webinar: The Ten, no 14, no 16 Commandments of Community Center Contracts
Contracts are the lifeblood of community centers. They establish the basis for funding, enlist the services of important vendors and service providers and provide an important method of transferring risk from the center to others. Richard Wigzell, Risk Management Consultant for the Fund since 2007 will present the basics of contracts in the form of his “commandments” for effective center contracts. He will discuss contract management, indemnification and hold harmless agreements, insurance requirements, construction contracts and other vital features of contracts. Contract managers, Procurement and Purchasing staff, CFO’s, Compliance staff, Executive Directors and any other people engaged in negotiation and management of contracts should attend.
