The Fund’s comprehensive liability program – which includes automobile liability (AL), general liability (GL), professional liability (PL), and public officials errors & omissions liability (E&O) – have been tailored to meet the risk transfer and risk financing needs arising out of exposures commonly faced by Texas Community Centers.
The Fund’s coverages continue to evolve based upon the changing needs of centers and new developments in the marketplace. Some examples include excess coverage for employees transporting clients in personal vehicles, coverage for volunteers and practicum students, and employment practices coverage for allegations of discrimination or sexual harassment.
The Fund offers limit options up to $5 million for all lines. Standard deductibles range from $1,000 to $50,000. AL and GL coverage is provided on an “occurrence” basis. PL and E&O coverage is provided on a “claims-made” basis. Defense costs are in addition to the limit of liability for AL, GL, and PL. Defense costs are included in the limit of liability for E&O.
