TCRMF Liability Workshop –
The Risk Managers Advisory Committee is presenting a workshop about the risk management considerations involved in collaborations between Texas community centers and other entities in their community. Schools, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, and local non-profits are seeking collaborative relationships to stretch dollars, provide new services, and expand their reach in the community. Privacy concerns, insurance matters, public entity vs. private entity issues and HIPAA pose potential conflicts in collaborative relationships. The workshop will present descriptions of the conflicts, ways to manage the risks, and will examine the Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) between the collaborators.
