Cyber Liability Workshop

About the Workshop

Beazley,LLC., the provider of Cyber Liability insurance coverage for the Fund will present a workshop on the resources they provide to members, coverage descriptions and how they respond to a breach and will also discuss recent trends in cyber-attacks including “spear phishing,” ransomware, “CryptoJacking “ and others.  The workshop will offer presentations on local resources, how to get back into business after a cyber-attack and essential elements of the “human firewall” that can prevent many kinds of attacks.

 

The registration fee is:

  • $75 for each representative of centers that are members of the Fund
  • $375 for each representative of centers that are not members of the Fund.

Location

Westin Galleria in Houston. The workshop will be conducted at the Westin Galleria, 5060 W. Alabama Street, Houston, Texas 78056. For reservations call 1-800-937-8461 and mention that you are attending the Texas Council Risk Management Fund meetings. The cutoff date for reservations at the discounted rate (single $169.00) is Friday, March 15, 2019. After that, rooms and rates are based on availability. Any special accommodation requirements should be addressed with the hotel when making room reservations. A hotel reservation does not register you for the workshop.

Continuing Education Credit

The Fund has continuing education sponsor agreements with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Social Workers, the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Schedule

Breakfast will start at 7:00 a.m. The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude by 3:30 p.m. Full breakfast and lunch are included.
