Contracts and Purchasing Liability Workshop

About the Workshop

Getting bids, finding willing vendors, professionalizing the purchasing function and finding qualified people to staff it will be some of the topics presented by experienced contract and purchasing staff. Common contract mistakes, state contracting and how to avoid traps and pitfalls in contracts will help you gain control of the contracting process. Significant resources are available to Fund members and they will be at the workshop.


The registration fee is:

  • $75 for each representative of centers that are members of the Fund
  • $375 for each representative of centers that are not members of the Fund.


The workshop will be conducted at The St. Anthony Hotel; 300 E. Travis Street, San Antonio, Texas 78205. For reservations call 1-855-811-0218 and mention that you are attending the TCRMF meetings. The cutoff date for reservations at the discounted rate (single $124.00/double $149.00 ) is Tuesday, September 18, 2018. After that, rooms and rates are based on availability. Any special accommodation requirements should be addressed with the hotel when making room reservations. A hotel reservation does not register you for the workshop.

Continuing Education Credit

The Fund has continuing education sponsor agreements with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Social Workers, the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.


Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m.  The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude by 3:30 p.m.

Full breakfast and lunch are included.
