Regional Safety Seminars
About the Seminar
This one-day seminar addresses current safety issues and provides guidance for managing community center safety programs. Presenters will discuss specific problems being encountered by Fund members and offer practical solutions to help reduce accidents and resulting losses. The course will be conducted by safety professionals of the Texas Council Risk Management Fund. Topics include:
- Causes of Injuries to Center Employees
- Dealing with Bedbugs and Communicable Diseases
- Intruders, Handguns and Security
- How to Deal with Repeat Workers' Compensation Claimants
- Staff Safety when Moving and Interacting with Consumers
- Driving Distractions
Who Should Attend
This seminar is designed for community center safety officers, risk managers, and others who have responsibility for safety within their centers. Both new and experienced staff will benefit from this program.
