ALLIANCE RESOURCES

What is the Alliance?
The Political Subdivision Workers’ Compensation Alliance (PSWCA or “the Alliance”) provides workers’ compensation health care services for the Texas Council Risk Management Fund. The Alliance was formed in 2006 by the five public-entity risk pools in Texas. In addition to the Texas Council Risk Management Fund, the other participating pools include: Texas Water Conservation Association Risk Management Fund, Texas Association of Counties Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund, Texas Association of School Boards Risk Management Fund, and Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool.

The purpose of the Alliance is to ensure that injured employees have access to appropriate and cost-effective treatment. The Alliance contracts directly with health care providers who are focused on positive treatment outcomes and returning injured workers to productive status.

Provider List for Workers’ Compensation Injuries
Injured employees of community MHMR centers that are members of the Texas Council Risk Management Fund are required to seek medical treatment from the Alliance’s provider list of treating physicians. A complete list is available online at http://www.pswca.org, or you can call 1-866-99-PSWCA (1-866-997-7922). As always, injured workers can call their adjuster at the Fund (1-800-580-6467) directly for assistance related to an on-the-job injury. In case of an emergency, injured workers should go to the nearest emergency room; emergency care does not need to be approved in advance.
